Jack Kiuru, 72, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and a winter resident of North Fort Myers, FL passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, FL.?á Mr. Kiuru was born in Otto Township, Ontario, Canada, on July 22, 1938, a son of the late Toivo and Aino Nuninen Kiuru.?á He was a retired Electrical Engineer, at the time of his retirement he served as assistant to the Vice President of Engineering for the Nova Scotis Power Corp.?á He was a member and International Director of Toastmaster?ÇÖs International.?á Jack was also a member and Vice President of the Canadian Snowbird?ÇÖs Association.?á His hobbies included woodworking and ?Ç£HAM?Ç¥ radio operation.?á He had been a winter resident here for the past 8 years.?á He is survived by hisloving wife of 42 years, Joan Kiuru and his sister, Liana (Gordon) Kingdon;?á Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com. ?áFort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family.
