Jack P. Rickard Sr.'s Obituary
Jack P. Rickard, 92, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 at his home. A long-time resident of Fort Myers upon retirement, Jack served as president of the Kelly Greens board, and was an avid volunteer at HealthPark, serving as trolley driver and leading the greeter program there. Jack had a long career in the brokerage business and was a veteran of the US Merchant Marines. Like his father before him, Jack was a proud Mason. Jack was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and had been a leader in his previous church homes over the years.
Jack was born September 21st, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Robert and Myrtle Rickard. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Wanda E. “Betty” Rickard and his son Jack Rickard. He is survived by his devoted daughter Lynda Jill Boyer; grandchildren, Thomas Michael, Robert Daniel and David James Boyer, Trudi Lynn Titus and Keri Rickard Solano. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and by his beloved dog Toby.
A Graveside Service for Jack will be celebrated by Pastor Byron West of Westminster Presbyterian Church at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 14, 2019 inside the Meditation Garden at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
