ALVA- Jacqueline(Jacque) Evans Brown, 89, of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Alva, FL passed away on March 5, 2019 following an extended illness.A Graveside Service will be held on March 29, at 11:00 AM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL with Pastor Blake Jones of the Fort Myers Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Myers SDA Church and would greatly be appreciated by the family.Jacque was born January 8, 1930 in Mocksville, NC. She was a member of the Fort Myers SDA Church, Fort Myers, FL. She was a graduate of Walla Walla University, WA with a BA in English, 1949. She married the love of her life, Willard(Bill) R Brown, on August 26, 1951 . She taught grades 3 and 4 at Tice Elementary School with the Fort Myers Public School System for 30 + yrs. She loved teaching and each of the children in her classes.Jacque was preceded in death by her daughter Karen, husband, Bill, and her brother Ray Evans, Patrick, SC.Surviving are her sister-in-law, Mildred Evans, formerly of Patrick, SC, nephews Tony Evans(Theresa), Lyman, SC, John Evans,(Diane), Hendersonville, NC, Gene Evans, Fletcher, NC and niece Patti Evans Fouche’(Steve), Gilbert SC.
