Jacqueline Mary Mosher's Obituary
Jacqueline Mary Mosher of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Winkler Court of Fort Myers, Florida. She was 94. Jacqueline was born February 25, 1923 in Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada; the beautiful daughter of the late Eloi and Mary Louise Genest.In May, 1944, Jacqueline entered into active service with the United States Navy; serving proudly in the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Navy Department, Washington D.C. unitl her honorable discharge in January, 1946. She married her husband, Edward P. Mosher, Jr. December 7, 1945 and, together, raised six children. While residing in Connecticut, she worked throughout her professional career as a secretary with several firms. After retiring and moving to southwest Florida, she also worked in the bakery department with Publix.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67+ years, Edward P. Mosher, Jr. (August 21, 2012), a daughter, Diane Mosher and her brother, Gene Genest. Jacqueline is survived by her loving children, Edward P. Mosher, III, Ronald G. Mosher, Dennis M. Mosher, Lawrence Mosher and Sandi Andrew. She is the dear sister of Madeline Burns. Jacqueline is also the loving grandmother of twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one nephew and seven nieces.Visitation will be 10:30 am until 11:00 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest with U.S. Navy Honors next to her beloved husband in the Veteran’s Garden section of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hope Hospice 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
