James Augustus Frost “Frosty”, 81, of Fort Myers, FL, died May 3, 2017 in Fort Myers, FL. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home, service will begin at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Bishop Verot High School, 5598 Sunrise Dr. Ft. Frosty was born October 7, 1935 in Amityville, NY, the son of Wayne Arlington Frost and Mabel Frost. He married Janet Sundin on June 14, 1963 in Aransas Pass, TX. Upon graduation from high school, Frosty enlisted in the Marine Corp and proudly served his country. After leaving the Marine Corp, he moved to Fort Myers beach to start his life in the commercial shrimping business, where he spent his entire career. First, he owned and operated his own shrimp boat, the W.A.F, for over 25 years. Then as a diesel mechanic, he worked on Gulf shrimp boats until he retired in his 70’s. Frosty is survived by his wife Janet; his children, Christine Gala (George) of Fort Myers, Brenda Frost Assink (Danny Dahlbeck) of Fort Myers, Michael Frost (Sheila) of Cape Coral, Kimberly Dominic (Steve) of Fort Myers; grandchildren, Eric, Blain, Michael, Ryan, Angela and great-grandchildren, Dana, and Lain.
