James Warner Barden's Obituary
James Warner Barden, 66, a lifelong Florida resident passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his residence in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born October 1, 1952 in Orlando, FL to Walter and Edith Barden, now deceased.James attended Lake Silver Elementary School, Robert E. Lee Junior High School, and graduated from Edgewater High school, Class of 1970, where he was a dedicated and enthusiastic member of The Edgewater Eagle Band, coming away with a lifetime love of the experience and of the organization. He graduated from Western Carolina University, majoring in Economics. He was a United States Navy Veteran of 10 years, serving as a Surface Warfare Officer, and achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Subsequently he taught in Orange County Schools, and worked in the private security industry.He is survived by his brother, Dr. Robert Barden (Pamela) of Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Anne Elizabeth Larsen (John) of Orlando, FL; nieces and nephews, Matthew Finch, Anne-Marie Finch, Connor Larsen, Dr. Catherine Barden Smith and Jessica Barden; as well as several extended family members and friends.No formal services are planned at this time, interment will be held privately in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.Arrangements for final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
