James Douglas Bradley's Obituary
James Douglas Bradley of Cape Coral, Florida passed away suddenly with his loving family by his side on Saturday, August 1, 2015 following some recent health challenges. He was 75 years old.Mr. Bradley was born on May 4, 1940 in Pactolus, Kentucky, the proud son of Ethelyn Avanell (Hoffman) and Hobert Lawrence Bradley. He was a longtime employee of General Motors in Dayton, Ohio before retiring and moving to Cape Coral in 1993. He was a Master Mason and member of the Order of Eastern Star.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years, Lyndia (LeFevers) Bradley; three children: daughter April Bennett (Dave) and sons Jeff Bradley (Diane) and Alan Bradley (Julie); six grandchildren: Ashley Baker, Ashley Bradley, Payton Bradley, Andrea Bradley, Melissa Bradley, Danny Bradley; two great granddaughters: Sophia Balmer, Olivia Balmer. Jim also leaves behind a number of extended family members and many friends who will greatly miss his company.A Visitation will be conducted from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida, (239) 936-0555. A Masonic Memorial Ritual will be performed promptly at 4:00 PM the next day, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 and will be followed by a memorial program performed by the Order of the Eastern Star. A Memorial Service will be celebrated immediately thereafter also in the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of the religious service, friends and family will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Mr. Bradley will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum located at the Field of Honor.In lieu of flowers the family asks that you instead make a donation in Jim’s memory to either the American Cancer Society, P.O.
