I was privileged to have known Mr. Franklin during the 18 years I worked at Henderson Franklin for Jim Nulman. Mr. Franklin was the most friendly, outgoing, honest and handsome gentleman I knew. To Vonceil and all of your family. I have know Jim Franklin Jr. since before he began his law practice, and have always respected and admired him. His practice began nearly 10 years before mine, and I always looked up to him as an attorney, and a human being. I never once saw him when he didn't have a smile on his face, even if he was on the other side of a case from me.To me, Jimmy was and is a superb credit and testament to his family, his faith, his profession, his friends, and to mankind– exemplifying how we should live out our lives. He was human as are each of us, but lived as an emissary for his God. Jim let his light shine not to glorify himself, but to glorify his God and show the way to the rest of us. Jim was just an amazing man and he will be missed by many especially at the historical society. I enjoyed all his stories and I learned so much from him regarding Lee County history. I could always count on him to answer my questions. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Vonceil and family.
