James Eugene Graham's Obituary
James Eugene Graham, Sr., 86, of Columbus, GA and formerly of Fort Myers, FL passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. He was born January 12, 1929 in Guin, AL to the late Royal James and Charlcie Graham. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he was awarded multiple medals and ribbons including the Korea Service Medal with 2 stars, the Good Conduct Ribbon, Combat Rifleman award and UN Service Medal. He was also a recipient of the Purple Heart. James was passionate about war veterans and served to honor them through memberships in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and AMVETS. He also served as the Past State Commander – Florida VFW. He worked a long career for Lee County Government as a Mechanic Supervisor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lucile Graham and two sons, Bobby Lee Graham (2011) and James Eugene Graham, Jr. (2015). He is survived by his son William Robert Graham (Judi) of Naples, FL; his loving sister, Betty Dupriest of Columbus, GA; his brother, Kenneth Woodruff of Brooksville, FL; four grandchildren, James Eugene Graham, III, Jasyn Graham, Jeff Graham and Ashley Graham. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral ceremony for Mr. Graham will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor are suggested to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
