James Harold Kitsmiller, 70, of Fort Myers, FL died September 18, 2017 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL.Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service for Jim will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907 (239) 936-0555.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab Utah.Jim was born December 14, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the son of James Harold and Mary Elizabeth (Bond) Kitsmiller, Jr. Jim married Linda Whitworth on April 20, 1985 in Des Plaines, IL. He was employed as a Manager of the Tool Rental Department for Home Depot in Lake Zurich, IL.Jim and Linda retired in 2015 and moved from the Chicago area to Fort Myers where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, eating out, gardening and living the good life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Surviving are his wife Linda of Fort Myers, FL; children Sheila of AZ, Jim of IL and Melinda of IL; sisters Jo and Cissi, brothers John and Ron, a special son-in-law Rick, five grandchildren and many other friends and family members.Condolences may be left to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
