James H. Lybold's Obituary
James H. Lybold of Fort Myers Beach, Florida passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 following some recent health challenges. He was 80 years old.Jim was born on June 15, 1935 in Evanston, Illinois, the proud son of Mary C. (McKenna) and Joseph Stephen Lybold. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and spent his working life as a repair technician for the telephone company. Jim was a member of the Elks in Desplaines, Illinois and Moose in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. He was a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who especially loved the warm climate and beach during his retirement in Florida.Jim is survived by his loving wife Donna (Landl); his son James A. Lybold and grandsons James A. Lybold Jr. and Theodore P. Lybold. He also leaves behind a number of extended family members and many more people who were proud to know Jim and call him a friend.A Memorial Gathering will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at this time by Pastor Bob Lockwood.
