James Joseph Miller's Obituary
James (Jimmy) Miller age 73, of Cape Coral, passed away Oct. 15, 2015 at Health Park Hospital, Fort Myers. He was born March 8, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, to the late John J Miller and the late Grace (Squires) Miller. Residing in Staten Island, NY for many years, he became full-time resident of Cape Coral in 2000.Jimmy known for his quiet ways, love of reading and sense of humor was the ultimate nice guy and will be greatly missed by many family and friends. After serving his county in the Navy, Jimmy had a varied career as a Greyhound Bus Driver, New York City Transit Patrolman and ultimately retiring from Wall Street in 1999.Jimmy is survived by his wife Rita (Geehan) Miller, son James (Gina), daughter Karen (Gary) Peterson and five grandchildren Sarah, Stephen, Kacey Lynn, Ashley and James Michel and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings Jean Mallon, Donald Miller, Grace Haas and John Miller.A Memorial Service for Mr. Miller will be celebrated by Deacon Anthony F. DiLorenzo at 5:30 PM on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
