James "Jim" Nabbefeld's Obituary
James “Jim” Nabbefeld, 83 of Ft. Myers formerly of Appleton, WS went to be with The Lord on 09/24/11. Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn Nabbefeld, a son John Nabbefeld, two granddaughters Jillian Nabbefeld and Kristen Henley and a great grandson. He was proceeded in death by his parents Virginia ( Pierce) and Henry Nabbefeld, a sister Jean Phillips and two sons James ( Jimmy) and William ( Billy) Nabbefeld. Jim was a veteran who served in the Navy during WWII. He was an outdoors man who ski jumped at Iron Mt, MI. in his younger years and was an avid trout fisherman, who fished the South Branch of the Oconto River. He could catch a creel full of trout when others said “they weren’t biting”. Jim was known in Ft. Myers for being an outstanding ceramic tile setter. He was a devoted friend and family man with a great sense of humor. He will be truly missed! There will be a celebration of Jim’s life on Friday, Sept 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at First Assembly of God on Summerlin in Sherrick Hall.
