James T. Naelitz's Obituary
James T. Naelitz, 79, of Cape Coral, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 following an extended illness. He was born December 19, 1934 in Lorain, OH to the late Daniel and Anna (Lynch) Naelitz. In 1983, he moved from Lorain, OH where he had worked at U.S. Steel for five years. Upon moving to Cape Coral, he worked for Larry Fair Painting Company until his retirement in 2004. In 1984, he met and began dating Mary Ann Collia. They went on to spend the next 30 years together, officially marrying in 2000. He was a member of Life in Christ Brethren Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Naelitz leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Ann Naelitz; his children: Scott Naelitz (Teri) of Georgia, Mark Naelitz and Jill Wickline, both of Ohio; their mother: Jeanne Ceja; his grandchildren: Steven, Aleena, Damien, Zachary, David and Matthew; his step-children: Tim, Kim, Wendy and Lisa; 14 step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters. He was an avid college football fan. His favorite teams were Ohio State and Notre Dame. He always had a smile for everyone and was just a nice man who will be greatly missed by Mary Ann, his families and his friends. “We hope you and Tony Tony can meet ‘up there’ and enjoy football games together again. We love you, Jimbo.” A memorial service will be held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral.
