James "Jim" Null's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jim Null, who went home to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on February 16, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Jim's humble Kentucky roots were always evident in his gentlemanly demeanor and strong work ethic. He served with distinction in the Air Force as a trusted and accomplished flight engineer. His service took him to Korea, and he remained close to his Air Force colleagues throughout his life. While training in Minnesota, he met the love of his life, Carol; they were married on June 22, 1974. Their life together was filled with family, friends, and hard work, and they often shared that their love for each other was a gift from God. Some of their happiest years were spent on their hobby farms, where they enjoyed home improvements, gardening, and mowing. During their travels, they found a favorite spot in LaBelle, Florida, where Jim enjoyed shooting, bowling, fishing, and exploring thrift stores on his date days with Carol.
Jim always had a story, a joke, sage advice, and a testimony of God's grace and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
James William Null was born on June 6, 1938, in Salem, Kentucky, and passed away in Fort Myers, Florida, on February 16th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hayes and Alberta Bailey Null, and 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carol (née Dooyema); children Janice Anderson, Kimberly (Dan) Johnson, Victor Wolbrink, Tamara (Lyle) Erickson, and Susan (Wayne) Weber; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
