In those days, when we were in seventh and eighth grade, we called him Jimmy. There was a small group of boys and girls who became friends and we were close for many years. He went on to Canisius highschool and we went on to Mt Mercy but would get together even in college. I treasured his kindness, intelligence and humor. I am saddened that he will not be walking this earth again and pray he is in te arms of our Lord
My fondest memories of Jim was when we were in the pool at Glen Abbey in Ft Myers. We would just talk sports & discuss life on life’s terms. Talked about football & hockey(Buffalo Bills & Sabres).
He was excited about his auditions at the new Jet Blue Stadium when the Boston Red Sox relocated there for spring training. Jim was a man of many words & quick witted. RIP Gentleman Jim! You will be missed!

Favorite memory of uncle jim started early for me … every summer he would come to buffalo for his visit from florida … started with a mini bus followed by his beetle punch bug. He was guest bartender for many of the south buffalo people to enjoy
When he wasn’t teaching. My uncle would pick me up and we would find a place to play tennis. That’s how I got started playing tennis
I would say the first couple years he had my number. But over time with his help
I slowly began to overtake him without any
Animosity or hard feelings toward me. He would just always compliment me and I would look forward to next time we played.
It was during that time on our drive home
He came up with one of my favorite phrases
“ No Ho Hos in the Dojo “

Was his curly black hair. Swimming at my aunt Kathy’s. When uncle jim dove in pool
And came up. His hair was the same. Curly n ready to go
