James Aloyisius Romer's Obituary
James (JR) Aloysius Romer, 71, resident of Fort Myers, formerly of Sevierville, TN passed away April 9, 2018 at home. He was born August 7, 1946 in Staten Island, NY, to John and Helen Romer, now deceased.JR faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force. For most of his professional life, he worked in construction and held management positions in several states. When retired he became Fire Chief of the Catons Chapel-Richardson Cove Volunteer Fire Department in Seivierville, TN. JR’s love for golf led him to become Manager of a local golf course. Jim and his wife, Roberta were very involved in their local church and gave many volunteer hours within their community.JR had a zest for life which made him the center of parties and garnered him many friends.He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.JR was preceded in death by his wife Roberta of 26 years and a son, William (BJ) in 2017. He is survived by his seven loving children, James A. Romer (Sandy), Noel D. Romer (Holly), Jeff Romer (Charlene), Guy Guerra (Stacey), Mike Guerra (Marilyn), Nick Guerra (Tracy) Andy (Susan) and daughter-in law Kimberly Romer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. JR leaves behind 7 brothers and sisters.A Graveside Service will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Ft.
