James A. Sheridan, 83 of Cape Coral, passed away May 8, 2011.?áHe was born July 21, 1927 in New York City to the late Thomas and Mary (Harrigan) Sheridan.?á James retired after 21 years from the New York City Police Department and moved to Lee County from Hyde Park, New York in 1979.?áHe also served as a Signalman 3rd Class in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Sheridan of Cape Coral; sons, Jimmy (Anne) Sheridan of Clifton Park, NY, John (Lottie) Sheridan of MO, Michael (Jennifer) Sheridan of Charlotte, NC; sister, Marie McElroy of Queens, NY; 5 granddaughters; 1 grandson; and 2 great-grandsons.
