James Vincent Ustica's Obituary
Jim Ustica, age 74, formerly of Long Island, NY and a resident of Fort Myers for 30 years, went to be with Jesus in heaven last Friday, September 13th, 2019, while trimming a tree in his beautiful back yard. A retired “jack of all trades”, including electronics, contracting, real estate appraising, etc., he was an extraordinary, hardworking man.He met his wife, Linda, in 1979 and they were married 9 months later for 39 years. In 1998 he bought his first Corvette and joined the Corvettes of Naples car club, which resulted in meeting many members who had become his extended family.He is survived by his wife, Linda Ustica; his sons, Anthony James (Marci) and Michael Joseph; his siblings, Gloria Ustica, Lorraine Wascher, Kathy (Robert) LeVien and John (Kathy) Ustica; his grandchildren, Isabella Marie and Anthony James Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents James and Rose Ustica.A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Community, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919 at 11:00am, followed by a celebration of Jim’s life at the new community center at the church.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Lung Assoc. or any charity of your choosing in Jim’s name.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
