James Thomas Watson, 90, of Fort Myers, FL, died March 30, 2017 in Lehigh Acres, FL. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials: Donor’s Choice. James was born May 10, 1926, in Florida, the son of James Thomas and Mary (Hester) Watson. He married Lillian Farabe during 1982 in Fort Myers and she preceded him in death. James was a WWII veteran of the US ARMY. As a civilian, he held various careers. He held positions as a truck driver, worked for Sears Roebuck, and attained a position as an office manager. James enjoyed fixing things, gardening, recording family events on video, playing video games and staying current with Facebook. He leaves behind to help cherish his memory his daughter, Deborah Mathis of Fort Myers, Brother Bruce Watson of Buckingham, FL, and granddaughter, Katherine Mathis of Fort Myers. Also preceding in death are his parents, and sister, Emma Jane Watson. Condolences may be left to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
