Janet Kostyo Warner's Obituary
Janet Kostyo Warner, 84, of Fort Myers passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Janet was born November 9, 1939, to Jerry and Josephine (Soja) Kostyo in Elyria, Ohio.
Janet and her loving husband Dan have called Florida their home since 2002. Janet graduated from Kent State University with a double major in home economics and biology. She dedicated her studies to teaching high school students. Throughout her life Janet loved scrap-booking, sewing, cooking for others, and tending to her garden. She was a dedicated philanthropist, giving many hours of her time to church, students, the East Fort Myers Rotary Club, and founding and running a soup kitchen at the Church of the Cross.
Janet is preceded in passing by her parents, and her only sibling, a younger sister, Joyce Jones.
Janet leaves her memory with her beloved survivors, husband of 64 years, Daniel J. Warner; son Daniel A. Warner and his wife Tracy Spann of Easton, PA; daughter Melinda S. Warner of Salem, MA, as well as many loving nieces and nephews in her home state of Ohio.
Janet's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of her final arrangements. There will be a visitation Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 2:30PM and a service beginning at 3PM.
