Janis Carol Pohlman's Obituary
Janis Carol Pohlman of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021 with her loving family by her side following some recent health challenges. She was 83 years old.
Janis was born in Kokomo, Indiana on August 24, 1937, the beautiful daughter to Lorena (Baker) and Elbert Plotner. She was the loving wife to John C. Pohlman who she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory.
Janis is survived by her Husband John Charles Pohlman of 61 years. She also leaves behind her 3 children: Julie Clark (Harvey) of South Carolina, Jeffery Pohlman of Fort Myers, Jack Pohlman (Jennifer) of Fort Myers. Her Grandchildren: Matthew & Christina Pohlman of Fort Myers, Hugh Clark (Karyn) of Maryland, Savannah Rissberger (Mike) of Kentucky, Kristin McKee Josh) of South Carolina, Lindy Clark of North Carolina, Joshua Clark of South Carolina, Benjamin Clark of South Carolina, Amy Clark of South Carolina & Justice Pohlman-Singleton of Kentucky. 4 Great Granddaughters that she adored. Janis is preceded in death by her parents Elbert Plotner & Lorena Baker Plotner Carlson.
A Memorial Service for Janis will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2021, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 3595 Broadway, Fort Myers, Florida 33901, (239) 939-1218. In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St Michael's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
