Carol and Chloe: We are so saddened to hear of Jay's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor on Birdie View, such an interesting, charming and hospitable man.We enjoyed your wonderful Christmas gatherings which you and Jay hosted.Meeting him on the street almost every day, or on the golf course during our evening walks, was always so enjoyable. Thanks, Jay, for being a wonderful neighbor. Ron and Alice Fournier.
Dear Carol - We were so sad to hear that Jay had passed. We have so many fond memories of our fun times in Truckee. We will never forget them! I wanted to call you this morning but my memory lapsed (again). I will make a note to call you Friday morning. Would love to talk to you and hear your voice. We think the world of you and Jay .... and will forever! I just don't know what to say ......
Love,
Annie & Frank
Our hearts are broken for Carol and the daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and brother. He fought so valiantly an unforgiving disease and still kept his great sense of humor. Best thing about our house is being their next door neighbor on the other side. He left a very big footprint.
Jay was one of a kind- thoughtful, kind and compassionate. He took the time to genuinely care for all that he met. Daily golf cart rides with our grandkids were so frequent they referred to him as “Uncle Jay.” We will remember his wit and great sense of humor. Jay was a very bright guy that always had a way of making you warm in his presence. For his many neighbors who adored him he will be greatly missed! For he was the Chairman of the Board if you ever needed sound advice. Our hearts go out to Carol, Chloe and the rest of Jay’s family.

I will never forget our afternoon golf cart/cocktail rides looking for gators and golf balls. Jay was a great guy that surely will be missed. Dennis Haas
