Jay Schein's Obituary
Pastor Jay Schein, 74, of Cape Coral, FL, Evangelist and beloved friend to many, a lover of all, especially his family, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was born October 23, 1942 in Bronx, New York to Martin and Trudy Schein. He moved to Cape Coral from Castle Pines, Colorado in 2010 with his family. From 1987 – 2003, he resided in Coral Springs, FL. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Bay of Pigs. Jay graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Fort Lauderdale, FL and was a member and Associate Pastor of Calvary Chapel Gulf Coast in Estero. Mission work was very important to Pastor Jay and he supported Operation Mobilization for over 20 years. He was also a member of Cape Coral Kiwanis Club.Pastor Jay is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane Schein; his children: Michael Schein (Ivete) of Chestnut Hill, MA, Natalie Ruocchio (Nick) of Glen Mills, PA, Brittany Schein of Orlando and Jennifer Schein of Fort Myers; his grandchildren: Isabella, Nadia, Eli and Caden; his mother, Trudy Schein of Pompano Beach; his brother, Victor Schein and his bro-son, Eric and his bro-daughter, Lisa.Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Calvary Chapel Gulf Coast, 20991 Three Oaks Parkway, Estero FL 33928 with Pastor Bill Mobley officiating.
