Jayne Margaret Shaffer's Obituary
Jayne Margret Shaffer, 82, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on July 29, 2023. She was born on April 17, 1941, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, to the late Betty S. Miller and Charles S. Miller. Jayne was the beloved wife of the late Gorman E. Shaffer, with whom she shared more than 40 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughters, Amy and Allison.
Jayne was a devoted mother to her daughter, Amy E. Vigness, her son in law, Keith Vigness, her daughter, Allison S. Marsh, her son in law, Brad Marsh, and her partner in life, Bill Guy. Jayne was also a loving grandmother to her grandsons, Arrison, Alex, Lucas and her granddaughter, Elizabeth. She cherished spending time with her family and created many wonderful memories with them.
Jayne is preceded in death by her mother, Betty S. Miller, as well as her brother, Nick Miller, sister, Sally Cowan, and brother, Sam Miller. Their memories will always be cherished by those who knew and loved them.
In addition to her personal life, Jayne was a dedicated educator and spent over 25 years as a teacher and teacher mentor for Maryland's, Frederick County Public Schools. She was deeply committed to her students and was known by many for her passion for teaching.

Jayne's life will be celebrated and remembered by her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing that she made a positive impact on the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
