Jean Kathryn Marenda's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Kathryn Marenda on August 16th, 2024 in Punta Gorda, FL. Jean was born on December 23rd, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI. Jean passed away in a peaceful sleep with her loved ones nearby. She was the City Clerk and Treasurer for the City of Muskego for many years. She has made lifelong friends through her profession. She loved playing cards and games. She was playing Rummikub up until the day before she passed. Jean was exceptionally close with her two sisters, Donna and Judy. They were the "three sisters" to the end. Forever the perfect big sister. She had a flare for travelling and had been all over the world. Jean liked to scrapbook her travels, and especially her two Granddaughters. Since living in Florida, Jean could be seen on the golf course of Pine Lakes where she resided before moving to Cape Coral. Among Jean’s favorite things was spending time with family and friends. She always had a good restaurant to dine at or a site to see. Her Granddaughters adored her and spent many nights cuddled up watching pageants, and camping in her trailer. She was always a camper at heart. Jean was an amazing Mother to Jeff and Joni and was well loved. Best of all, Jean loved being GG to her four great Grandchildren. She is survived by Daughter, Joni Marenda, Granddaughters, Amber Marenda and Addie Marenda, Great Grandchildren, Jyleena, JJ, Princeton and Morissette, Sister Judy Croft and Sister Donna Lampe, Nephew Bruce (Julie) Lampe and Best Friend, Betty Kay Kreutzinger and many more friends. She was preceded in death by Jeff Marenda, Son, Johsua Bascom, Grandson, Adelaide Koziatek, Mother, Frank Koziatek, Father, Ricky Canales, Nephew. They welcomed her home with her beautiful smile, and she is now running free in God’s Kingdom. Jean was a faithful Catholic and her Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, October 12th at St Leonard’s, in Muskego WI. Visitation 9-10:45 am, Mass at 11 am Private Brunch after. Memorials can be made in her honor to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Jeans favorite charity.
