Our mother, Jeanne H. Sanders, 75 years of age, passed away November 23, 2011 at her home in Fort Myers, FL, and has joined our dad, her beloved Len.?á She was surrounded by her loving family and friends these past several months. Jeanne touched many lives during her life; her heart and home were always open to others. She loved her family, children and grandchildren and many friends. ?á?áMrs. Sanders was born on May 9, 1936,?á a daughter of the late James Hurley and Josephine Skerrett Hurley.?á Jeanne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Michigan State University. She was a member of the Bay State Dance & Gymnastics Association and the U.S. Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics Committee.?á She enjoyed to travel, gardening, spanish conversation, archeology, cooking and Peru. Jeanne was formerly of Sudbury, MA and Lima, Peru. She had resided in Fort Myers since 1994.?á Jeanne is survived by her loving children, Kevin (Patty) Sanders of Marlborough, MA, Kerry (Deborah) Sanders of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Kim Sanders of Petaluna, CA; her grandchildren, Meghan Sanders, Kelly Sanders, Brian Sanders, Lucas Sewall and Emily Sewall;?á her sisters, Helen-Sue Kemp of Dothan, AL. In lieu of services, her ashes will be mixed with our father?ÇÖs and per their joint request, we will disperse them over the Andes Mountains of Peru.?á Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
