Jeffrey Trevino's Obituary
Jeffrey Trevino, 53, of Fort Myers, FL passed away May 11, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Jeffrey was born January 22, 1972 to Leonard and Rose (Wlodarczyk)Trevino in Oak Lawn, IL.
Jeffrey and his family resided in the south suburbs of Chicago for the early years. The entire family were avid Cub Fans but the high point was when Jeff and his dad went to the Chicago Bulls Championship game (1996) and won the game. Their throats were sore for days after. Jeff had a love for road cycling and would disappear for hours with his friends or alone for hours. His goal was the Tour de France.
Jeffrey graduated from Victor J. Andrews Highschool and then went on to get his degree in Law Enforcement. His first job was at Stateville Prison in Joliet, Illinois. He had lots of stories to tell the family keeping everyone interested for hours.
Jeffrey then took his wings and moved to Florida with some friends. His family followed several years later. Jeff and his dad became PADI CERTIFIED RESCUE DIVERS while still residing in the suburbs of Chicago which became handy when residing in Florida. He loved Florida and was thrilled and proud when he was offered and accepted a position with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. Jeff was employed with the force for 25 years this year.
Jeff was a kind, warm, generous, and loving man.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents and family; one adoring sister, Nicole Trevino, loving niece, Tru Trevino, extended family and friends.
Jeff “my brother” was such a remarkable soul, known for his unsung willingness to help anyone in need. His heart was full of love and compassion, putting others before himself. Strong and Brave he faced every challenge with courage and determination. His legacy of love and generosity will forever live in the hearts of all who new him and loved him.
There will be a celebration of life for Jeffrey at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2025 with gathering time at 11AM and his service beginning at 12PM.
