Jesalee Herren's Obituary
Jesalee Herren, 94, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, under Hospice care. Jesalee was born to William and Rudy (Jenkins) Devoll in Paragould, Arkansas. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby M. Herren, her sister, Virginia (Devoll) Biggs, and her brother, Marlin Devoll. She leaves behind her four children, W. Scott (Vivian) Herren, K. Keith (Berlene) Herren, Roxane (Jim) Fox, and Amy (Todd) Draffen. She has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. In her early married years, she was a military wife that served in the NCO officers club as an accountant. She was a director of Joyland Nursery School, in Dayton, Ohio for 25 years. After she retired, she served in Northmont School District in the cafeteria. Jesalee was a mentor and second mom to many young Christian women. She loved speaking about Christianity and helping women find their role in serving the Lord. Such as developing the annual Ladies Retreat at Fort Hill Christian Youth Camp in Hillsboro, Ohio. She had many co-speakers including Darlene Howe and Kelley Beerbower. These three ladies were often sought after to speak at ladies’ functions. Her life was filled with God, family, and often humor. All that knew her had special memories. An Open House Celebration will be held at Gulf Coast Church of Christ on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friends are invited to stop by to share a memory of how Jesalee touched their lives.
