Jo Anne C. Franklin's Obituary
Jo Anne Marilyn Franklin, 87, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at hope Hospice. She was born on December 23, 1925, to the late Ralph (Caporino) and Lynn Farley. Joanne was the second of their four children. She was married to Jerry Neal Franklin for 62 years who preceded her in death. Together they purchased Fishel & Dowdy Jewelers in 1969 and operated it until its close in 2004. Joanne is survived by her two sons Jack Andrew Franklin and James Brian Franklin, her daughter-in-law Roxann (Gordon) Franklin and two grandchildren Adam and Logan Franklin of Fort Myers, her sister Betty P. Hall and various nieces and nephews. Jo Anne loved to play Golf with her husband and had a love of travel which took to places like Spain, Italy, Greece, Egypt and South Africa. She enjoyed visits with her family in Florida and Georgia. Her hobbies included collecting antiques and playing the organ. The family requests in lieu of flower make donations to Hope Hospice or make a donation in JoAnne’s name to your favorite charity. Private Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. August 27 at Lee Memorial Gardens where she will be interred beside her husband Jerry.
