Joan L. Fletcher's Obituary
Joan Louise (nee, Send) Fletcher, 89 of Fort Myers, went to be with her maker on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born January 31, 1934 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, New York City and moved to Miami, FL with her parents where she married Edwin G. Fletcher in the chapel of Biscayne Blvd. Lutheran Church in June of 1954. She had several short time jobs until her children, Diane Louise and Brian Neil started junior high school. She then worked for Dade County Schools for ten years and also worked for Allstate Insurance Company.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her daughter Diane Louise Fletcher and two grandchildren, Keith Alan Hamilton and Cody James Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. and Elsie Send and her son, Brian Neil Fletcher.
She was a member of Grace Olga-Fort Myers Shores United Methodist Church and a member of the Honor Society (Arister) of John Adams High School.
Burial services were held privately and under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
