Joan Gilmore's Obituary
Joan Gilmore, 80, a longtime Florida resident for over 30 years passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 under the care of Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, FL. She was born December 21, 1939 in New Fairfield, CT to the late George and Beatrice Purdy.
Joan loved shopping, watching WWE Wrestling, but her most precious time was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Marlin Wilson; her second husband, Elmer Junior Gilmore; her son, Paul Marlin Wilson, Jr; two siblings, Danny Purdy and Dorothy; two grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
She is survived by her 9 loving children, Paul Pyrch of Connecticut, Joan Navarro of La Belle, Fl, Charles Henry Wilson of Albany, NY, Mark Lee Wilson (Jenny) of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard Frederick Wilson of Lehigh Acres, FL, Robert Lee Wilson (Rebecca) of San Carlos Park, FL, David Wayne Wilson of Lehigh Acres, FL and William Roger Wilson (Dawn) of San Carlos Park, FL; two sisters, Beatrice Pettie of Lehigh Acres, FL and Betty; two brothers, Pat Wyskiel of Danbury, CT and George Purdy of Ft. Payne, AL; 24 grandchildren; as well as 21 great grandchildren.
