Joan Joyce Lakocy, 77, passed away August 26, 2011.?áShe was born November 20, 1933 in Tampa, Florida to the late Howard and Bertha (McAllister) Bainbridge.?áIn addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Karen Bourne. She came to Lee County in 1974 from Clearwater, Florida and lived here until 2005.?áShe attended the Church of the Island on Sanibel.?áShe was a professional business woman and owned several businesses for many years. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with her family.?á?á She leaves behind three children:?áDavid Joyce (Lori) of Tampa, FL, Stephany Dennis (Tommy) of Ocala, FL , and Michele Elder (John) of Garden City, Kansas; son-in-law, Jonathon Bourne of Severville, Tennessee.?á She has one sister Carol Harper of Clearwater, FL.?áThere are nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Parkinsons Foundation. Her services and interment were in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 27, 2011.?áCondolences may be left at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
