Joan C. Walsh, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on September 12, 2011.?á She was born November 23, 1935 in Middleport, Pennsylvania to Mary and John Russek.?á She was a member of Heritage Palms Country Club, where she started the D.Y. N. K.S. (does not keep score) a 9 hole women?ÇÖs golf club.?á She encouraged fun and self confidence.?á She also had such a passion for fashion and decorating which she was second to none.?á She will be greatly missed on all the dance floors in Lee and Collier counties.?á She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Walsh and will be truly missed by her son, Kevin (Terri), her daughter, Michelle and her grandchildren, Sammy, Ciera and Brandon Walsh.?á She has many siblings, Cele Kotchmar, Franny Slider, Veronica Kowalczyk, Wanda Wible, Josephine Leslie, Joseph Russek and Hedy Mooar.?á Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club off of Six Mile Cypress in Fort Myers, FL.?á In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers 1-800-835-1673 or email at www.hopehospice.org.?á Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family.
