John Michael Coconato's Obituary
John M. Coconato was ushered into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ June 13, 2021. Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 1935, John was a graduate of Amundsen High School and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 705 and was the former business owner of Wright Advertising. He was also an avid golfer and skier.
John was the beloved husband, companion and soulmate of Donna (Pelz) Coconato; loving father of Diana (Frank) Papastratakos, John (Geena) Coconato Jr, Denise (Cuneo) Coconato Esposito and Brenda (Earl) Suchy Shaevitz; proud grandfather of Ariana and Alexa Papastratakos,Toni and Gaetano Esposito, Amanda and Brianna Suchy.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Rose (Navigato) Coconato and brother Richard.
John has left fond memories and a legacy to be carried on throughout the years. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for John will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S York Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126, (630) 834-6700. At the conclusion of this liturgy, guests will travel to Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162, (708) 449-8300 where John will be laid to rest. The scheduled time for services in the Cemetery is 11:00 AM.
