John E. Brennan, Jr., 89, of Fort Myers, FL died July 31, 2017 at Cairn Assisted Living in Fort Myers. Cremation rites will be accorded. A private celebration will be held at a later date. John was born September 21, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of John E. and Elizabeth (Murtha) Brennan. He married Kathryn G. Dickey, May 6, 1950 in Upper Darby, PA. John was a veteran of the US Army. Following his service he had worked in the oil industry as a mechanical engineer. During his leisure, he enjoyed playing golf. Surviving are his loving wife, Kathryn; children, Jack Brennan and his wife Kathleen of Gonzales, LA, Susan Lauro and her husband Joseph of Fort Myers, FL, Christine Berger and her husband Christopher of Ocoee, FL; siblings, Elizabeth Powers of Pennsylvania, Joan Hunter of Washington, Gregory Brennan and his wife Carole of Delaware, Rev. Keith Brennan, Edward Brennan and his wife Young Hee of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Charles Crocco, Andrew Brennan, Kate Meyer, David Brennan and ten great-grandchildren. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Jack.
