John Michael Scanlon's Obituary
John Michael Scanlon, 79, passed away April 30, 2013. He was born March 15, 1934, in New Haven, CT, to the late Thomas J. and Marian (Brannick) Scanlon. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Scanlon Jr. and sister Eilene Hurlburt.After serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, John graduated with a bachelor?ÇÖs degree in Business Management from Bryant College (now Bryant University). He was employed in sales for retail and later real estate. He then was a residential contractor and then retired from FEMA. John came to Lee County in 2011 from Windsor, CT, where he was a member of St. Gabriel Church. He was also in the Knights of Columbus.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Maryann; children, Beth Rondinone and her husband Joseph of Granby, CT; Jeffrey Scanlon and his wife Victoria of Windsor, CT; and Andrea Lowe and her husband Andrew of Suffield, CT; grandchildren, Gillian, Nick, Ben, Mia, Ana, Graham, Geoffrey and Emily.Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Gabriel School, 77 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095.
