John M. Owens' Obituary
John (Jack) M. Owens passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at age 88. Jack was born December 24, 1924 in Eveleth, MN to Sam (Sheriff St. Louis County) and Margaret Owens. Predeceased by his parents and first wife Louise. He will be lovingly missed by wife Lois of 16 years and children, Greg (Barb) from Coon Rapids MN, Lezley from Gypsum CO and grandchildren Matt (Amanda) and baby Lydia from Minnesota and Lindsay from Chicago and his loving Canadian family Jeff (Liz) , Jane (Paul), Anne (Jim) and six grandchildren Sarah, Joel, Lydia, Rachel, Ivy and Noah. Jack spent his many working years in the Banking Industry and his leisure time loving golf at Eshquaguma Country Club in Biwabik and Lexington Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers and Niagara on the Lake in Ontario, Canada. Celebration of Jack?ÇÖs life and Internment will be held on August 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
