John P. Hollister, 81, of Fort Myers, FL died May 23, 2017 at Health Park Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Entombment will be at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials: Donor’s Choice. John was born July 27, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of, John P. and Miriam (Johnson) Hollister. He worked as a maintenance crewman at the Outrigger Beach Resort. He married his wife, Juanita, on October 8, 2003 in Fort Myers. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion of Fort Myers Beach. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing video games, especially “Call of Duty”. Surviving are his wife Juanita and four children. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of John.
