John Charles Pohlman's Obituary
John Charles Pohlman of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was 87 years old.
John was born in Kokomo, Indiana on January 25, 1936, the proud son to Alma Marie (Huneke) and Harry H. Pohlman. He was the loving husband of 61 years to Janis Carol (Plotner) Pohlman who sadly preceded him in death in 2021.
John is survived by his 3 children: Julie Clark (Harvey) of South Carolina, Jeffery Pohlman of Fort Myers and Jack Pohlman (Jennifer) of Fort Myers; his grandchildren: Matthew & Christina Pohlman of Fort Myers, Hugh Clark (Karyn) of Maryland, Savannah Rissberger (Mike) of Washington, Kristin McKee (Josh) of South Carolina, Lindy Clark of North Carolina, Joshua Clark of South Carolina, Benjamin Clark of South Carolina, Amy Clark of South Carolina & Justice Pohlman-Singleton of Kentucky and also leaves behind 4 great granddaughters and one great grandson that he cherished. John is preceded in death by his parents Alma Marie (Huneke) and Harry H. Pohlman.
A Memorial Service for John will be celebrated at 6:30 PM Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 3595 Broadway, Fort Myers, Florida 33901, (239) 939-1218. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
