John Joseph Rogers, 82, passed away August 30, 2013. He was born February 19, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Edward and Veronica (Hingston) Rogers. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marion, Helen and Katherine.John retired after 38 years of service from TRW in Cambridge, MA and moved to Cape Coral in 1998 from Burlington, MA. He was a member of the Cape Coral Social Club, Sea & Shore Cruisers and the Merry Mariners Boat Club. He loved boating, camping and dancing.Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth; sons, Edward W. Rogers and his wife Eileen of Burlington, MA; John J. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Michele of Hopkinton, MA and Gary P. Rogers and his wife Wanda of Hampstead, NH; daughter, Kathleen E. Warren and her husband Steve of Cape Coral, Florida; sister, Marguerite Dugas of North Reading, MA; grandchildren, Leigh, Lauren, Matthew, Kenneth, Renee, Michael, Sarah, Julie, Zachary, Kyle, Marc, Mia and Gina; great-grandchildren, Billy, Davy and Braxton. There will be a memorial mass in Massachusetts the weekend of Thanksgiving, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Malachy, 99 Bedford St. Burlington, MA 01803 There will be a reception following the mass.
