John Sherman Roop's Obituary
John Sherman Roop of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, January 17, 2015. He was 78 years old.He was born on August 1, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland, the proud son of Dorothy (Carlisle) and John S. Roop.A Visitation for John will be held from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM on Friday, January 30, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Celebration of his life will be held immediately thereafter at 11:30 AM also in the funeral home chapel. Upon conclusion of the memorial service, friends and family will recess to the Veteran’s Field of Honor in adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery for military honors.
