John Carl Roszell Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida passed away suddenly following some recent health challenges with his loving family by his side on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was 70 years old.John was born on April 29, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the proud son of Ellen V. (Jones) and John Carl Roszell Sr. He was a coach and educator for over 45 years and was most proud to have served as Vice Principal of Fort Myers High School. He was also a man with strong moral convictions and an even deeper faith in his Savior, our Lord, Jesus. So strong was his faith that John received a vocation to deliver the good news and serve the faithful congregation as a Deacon at his place of worship.He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years Lynda Ann (Biggs) Roszell; his children Stephanie Lynn Martin (Greg), Toni Rhodes (Thad), John C. Roszell III (Tiffany) and Jacqueline Roszell (Joe); his grandchildren Kirby and Clay Martin, Payton Rhodes, Laci and Wyatt Roszell and Caitlyn, Emily and Madison Farley; his sisters Patricia Ramsey (Jim) of Colorado, Jackie Grooms (Kenny) of Tennessee, Jean Bedel (Steve) of Indiana; his brothers Robert Roszell (Marilyn) of Ohio; Thomas Roszell (Sally) of Lehigh Acres and Joseph Roszell (Nancy) of Jacksonville. He also leaves behind many extended family members and numerous friends who will miss his company along with countless former students who benefitted from his instruction and care. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents.A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Pastor Leonard Anderson at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Parkway Baptist Church, 6211 Briarcliff Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33912.
