John H. Schotsch's Obituary
John H. Schotsch of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, July 6, 2023 following some recent health challenges. He was 99 years old.
John was born on December 14, 1923 in Laslea, Romania, the proud son to Anna (Binder) and John Schotsch. His family emigrated to Canada when he was young and John served with the Canadian Allied Forces as a member of the Army Infantry from 1943-46. He worked for many years with Peter Kiewit Construction and retired as a District Equipment Superintendent. He was the devoted husband to and leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Renate L. (Rothenberg) Schotsch along with his loving children.
A Funeral Service for John will take place at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 inside the Sanctuary at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 SW 6th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33991, (239) 772-0172. A Visitation for John will take place immediately prior to this ceremony from 12:00 Noon until 12:30 PM also inside the church sanctuary. At the conclusion of these services, friends and family will travel to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555, where John will be laid to rest at his burial plot located within the Meditation Garden.
