John Clinton Siwy's Obituary
John Clinton Siwy, 82, a beloved resident of Estero, FL, formerly of Pennsylvania and Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024. Born on November 30, 1941, in Allentown, PA, to the late John and Jeane (nee Raup) Siwy, John lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication.
John was a member of Summit Church, University Campus, where he found a community that shared his deep faith. He met his wife, Cynthia, and together they built a beautiful life, celebrating 48 years of marriage. Since 2004, they enjoyed the best of both worlds as snowbirds, splitting their time between Pennsylvania and Florida until they made Florida their permanent home in 2008.
A graduate of University of North Georgia - Dahlonega and a devoted family man, John cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. His love for bicycling took him on adventures through the mountains of Pennsylvania and along the coastal trails of New England. However, his true passion lay in the study of ancient Hebrew language and the Bible, a pursuit that enriched his spiritual journey and those around him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia; four children, Cheryl Spadt (Dylan) of Whitehall, PA, Timothy Siwy (Ingrid) of Carlisle, PA, Alan Siwy (Cathy) of Leland, NC and Julie Lawrence (John) of Fort Myers, FL; two brothers, Dennis Siwy of San Diego, CA and Jeffery Siwy of Millsboro, DE; one sister, Jane Siwy Krebser of Ashburn, VA; 12 grandchildren, Caitlin, Chelsey, Corrine, Ryan, Caroline, Emily, Timothy, Mitchell, Kirsten, Kaylie, Seth and Logan; as well as 10 adored great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Karen Valinote, and a granddaughter Christine Siwy Walker.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon.
