John E. Webb's Obituary
John E. Webb was born October 25, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama and passed away November 1, 2013 in Fort Myers, Florida. John is survived by his mother Betty Hoffman; cousins, Jack Jacobs of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeffery, Jason and Ryan Stanford of Fort Myers and other relatives and friends. John attended Tennessee Military Institute, Knoxville, Tennessee and Jefferson State College, Birmingham, Alabama. He served honorably in the U.S. Army (1970-1972) in Stratcom, Hawaii and (1976-1980) in Germany. After serving in the Army he started working in the Lee County Department of Transportation under the direction of Mr. Art Parsons. He retired in 1996 with disability. John has lived in Reflection Lakes in Fort Myers, FL since 2002. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and music. He will be remembered by his outgoing personality and his warm and friendly smile. A celebration of John’s life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, 3:30 pm at Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Hope Hospice.
