Jonathan M. Ziolkowski's Obituary
Jonathan Matthew Ziolkowski, 31, of Fort Myers passed away Monday, August 17, 2020. He was born January 23, 1989 in Hartford, CT to Joseph and Grace Ziolkowski.
Jonathan had many things that he enjoyed to do with his spare time. Since he was just a little boy he was a fisherman at heart -just like his younger brother Patrick! He would go fishing with his Dziadek Karol in the rivers and lakes and fishing at the family lake house in Winsted Connecticut with his cousins and family. It wasn't until he moved to Florida 16 years ago that he took his love for fishing to the ocean and taught his little brother many tricks and tips for catching fish. Jonathan also enjoyed spending his time building the best computers out there so he could enjoy another favorite hobby which was gaming- the computers he put together always had to be top notch and fast speed so it could keep up with him running through the games he admired most ( Battlefield, World of Warcraft, Runescape, and Counterstrike- only to name a few). He devoted many years into this hobby creating many friends and great memories along the way. Jonathan was passionate about the things around us, he loved the moon and the stars always adoring the galaxy. He always had an interest in different geode rocks and had a great collection that he gathered over the years from family vacations, being outdoors, and even having some from his family in Poland. Jonathan was a compassionate, kind, caring person that many would agree - including him having a heart of gold.
He loved his animals, especially his cat Baby Vega- which was a kitten he adopted from the streets bringing her in and providing the best home for her. He loved spending time with his family and friends and many enjoyed his company. He loved the holidays and celebrating with everyone and keeping each holiday tradition that was started since he was a little boy. Making certain dishes with his Babcia and getting to enjoy what they made, especially Pierogi. Jonathan will be remembered most for his humor, his love for others and animals, and being there when needed most. He was a son, grandson, nephew, brother, uncle, and cousin and will remain in our hearts as we carry his spirit throughout.
He is survived by his father and mother, Joseph and Grace Ziolkowski; his Babcia, Helenka; younger brother, Patrick Ziolkowski; sister, Cassandra and significant other Bryan and their children - Jonathan's nephews, Alexander and Brody; aunt and Godmother Margaret, Uncle and Godfather Richie Dziewaltowski, Uncle Olek and Aunt Lidia, Uncle Tommy, Uncle Carlos and Aunt Krysia, and Uncle Chet and Aunt Jodi. Jonathan also leaves behind many first and second cousins, family friends and friends who he loved dearly that reside in Connecticut and Florida.
He is joined in heaven by, Grandfather Chester and Grandmother Mary Ziolkowski; Dziadek, Karol Lisowski, Ciocia Basia, Wujek Tadzik; uncle, Robert Ziolkowski ( who was one of his favorites- he also knew him as "Atlantic Man") and Chris Niziolek and Brian Gorski who were childhood family members- each and every single one listed welcoming him home with open arms.
