Jonnie M. Martin's Obituary
Jonnie Martin (83) of Fort Myers, Fl. (formerly of Cleveland, Tn.) has answered the call to join her Lord on February 5, 2016. She is preceded in death by Joseph Martin her husband of 39 years, her parents Lon and Emma Styles, sister Anne Lou Hill, and her 3 brothers, Herman, Howard and Goleman (Gole) Styles. She is survived by her sister Patsy (Clifford) Barger and their son Terry of Cleveland, Tn. Her stepson David (Barbara) Martin of Ft. Myers, stepdaughter Cindy (Alan) Weis, grandson Derek Weis of N. Ft. Myers, stepdaughter Laurie (Joel) Peterson and grandson Jeremy of Lubbock,Tx. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.Jonnie worked at Sears at the Edison Mall for over 32 years until her retirement. She is also a founding member of New Testament Baptist Church for over 42 years. She always enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and knitting.A Memorial Service for Jonnie will be celebrated inside the Small Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555 by Pastor Bill Roan of New Testament Baptist Church in Cape Coral at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Friends will be received for a half hour preceding the service beginning at 9:30 AM. At the conclusion of the ceremony, friends and family will recess to the Prayer Garden at adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Jonnie will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband Joseph.In lieu of flowers, the family instead suggests a donation in Jonnie’s memory to either: Hope Hospice, Attn: Donation Department, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, Fl 33908, or to Gulf Coast Village Foundation, 1333 Santa Barbara Boulevard, Cape Coral, Fl. 33909.Those who would like to share a story, leave a tribute or offer condolences should visit Jonnie’s memorial webpage at www.fortmyersmemorial.com and sign the guestbook.
