Joretha Jungferman's Obituary
Joretha Jungferman, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away on January 28th, 2024. She was born on June 28th, 1936 to the late Charlie and Letha Boone and was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, her son, Don (Sherri), and her grandson, Brian. She is survived by her two sisters: Charlene (Paul) Vinson and family and Diana (Herb) Doup and daily, her four children: Drinda Tringali, Patricia Gottschalk (Roy), Sonny Jungferman (Kathy), and Verna Jungferman, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Joretha grew up in Columbus, Georgia before moving to Fort Myers in 1956. She worked at Fort Myers High School for over 20 years before retiring and moving to Missouri. She returned to Fort Myers in 2013 with her husband Vern to be closer to family.
A service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church (10721 Palm Beach Boulevard) on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joretha can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Crossroads Baptist Church.
