Jorge Velazquez, 67, of Fort Myers, Florida?á passed ?áaway on September 24, 2012 at his residence.?á He was born October 24, 1944 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Gregorio Velazquez and Edith Lugo Velazquez. Jorge was employed for many years by South Seas Plantations in the maintenance department and in later years was employed by the City of Fort Myers as a meter technician . Jorge took great pride in maintaining his lawn immaculately as well as his neighbors. He had resided in Ft. Myers for the past 35 years coming from Puerto Rico and Connecticut. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Iris M. Velazquez of and Gerardo Sepulveda both of Puerto Rico; a granddaughter, Feliris; his siblings, Renaldo Velazquez and Edith Martinez both of Fort Myers, Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico.?á The family is being assisted by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.?á 239-936-0555.
